Welcome to Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Robert L. Cochran, Jr. Chapter 82. Whether you are joining DAV for the first time or transferring from another chapter, we are honored to welcome you into our Chapter family. DAVRLC is a 100% volunteer-driven organization dedicated to helping veterans, their families, caregivers, and survivors obtain the benefits, services, and respect they earned through military service.

About Chapter 82

The Robert L. Cochran, Jr. Chapter 82 was chartered in 1965 in Port Charlotte, Florida. The Chapter provides free assistance to veterans and families navigating VA claims, appeals, health care, survivor benefits, education benefits, and related veteran services. The Chapter serves veterans throughout Charlotte, Sarasota, DeSoto, and Lee Counties.

Mission

DAV Chapter 82 exists to empower veterans to lead high-quality lives with respect and dignity by providing professional assistance, advocacy, outreach, fellowship, and community support.

• Wednesday Breakfast Gatherings
• Volunteer and Outreach Events
• Monthly Membership Meetings

Meeting Information

First Thursday of each month at 4:00 PM in the Port Charlotte Town Center across from the DAV Service Office.
